The Appalachian Center for the Arts presents The Mountain Grrl Experience, July 22 and 23, 2022! This family-friendly art and music event will highlight the creativity of women in Appalachia in a safe and supportive environment. Featured musical acts for this event are Abby the Spoon Lady, Luna & The Mountain Jets, Amberly Winfrey-Caddell ft. Brother Smith, Coaltown Dixie, Bek & The Starlight Revue, and many, many more. Art gallery, artisan crafters, and square dancing will be available. A series of workshops will be planned, with proceeds from the musical performances, art displays, workshops and educational programs benefitting Turning Point Domestic Violence Services (Martin, KY) and The Westcare Perry Cline Emergency Shelter (Pikeville, KY), as well as educational art programs at the Appalachian Center for the Arts.

Art Positive Event

Art Positive Project, Inc. will be doing our very first booth at the Mountain Grrl Experience in Pikeville Kentucky! On July 22nd & 23rd come be apart of spreading positivity through creating your own artwork. You can throw caution to the wind as you experience the fun of throwing some paint on a canvas in the Slingin’ Paint room. Don’t want to make a mess, great! Take part in just creating something from our many art supplies that will be on hand. Get to know our team that makes the magic happen in our classes and get details on how you or your community can host an Art Positive Project class.
