DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a summer filled with mismatched roommates\, clashing personalities and plenty of laughs as Artists Collaborative Theatre presents Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple at the Breaks Interstate Park Amphitheater. \nAudiences will have the opportunity to enjoy both the classic male version and the female version of Simon’s beloved comedy during eight performances scheduled from July 10 through August 1\, 2026. \nTwo Versions of a Classic Comedy\nIn the original version\, Felix Ungar is a nervous\, exceptionally tidy news writer who moves in with his friend Oscar Madison after separating from his wife. Oscar is a carefree sportswriter whose apartment—and personal life—could use some serious attention. \nAlthough Oscar is comfortable with clutter\, careless spending and the occasional spoiled meal in the refrigerator\, Felix seems unable to relax. His constant cleaning\, cooking and well-intentioned corrections soon begin to test Oscar’s patience. What begins as an act of friendship quickly becomes a hilarious battle between two people who could not be more different. \nThe female version offers a fresh take on the same classic conflict\, with the untidy Olive Madison opening her apartment to the extremely organized Florence Unger.
