In 2026\, The Mountain Grrl Experience returns for another inspiring weekend\, bringing together music\, art\, education\, and advocacy in a welcoming environment where all are encouraged to participate. \nThe Mountain Grrl Experience will take place October 16–17\, 2026\, at a new location in Coal Run City Park\, Pike County\, Kentucky. Thanks to sponsorships and grant funding\, this multi-day event remains free and open to the public. \n\nA Festival with Purpose\nThe Mountain Grrl Experience is a music and art event intentionally designed to feature and promote the creativity of women in Appalachia. The festival is rooted in the belief that artistic expression and community connection can create meaningful change\, especially when nurtured in a safe and supportive space. \nWhile the event centers the voices and talents of Appalachian women\, all are welcome. The festival fosters inclusivity\, respect\, and dialogue while shining a light on the strength\, resilience\, and artistry found throughout the region. \nIn addition to celebration\, the Mountain Grrl Experience raises both funds and awareness for charitable organizations in Appalachia that support women and children’s services\, particularly those aiding victims of domestic abuse. The long-term mission is to celebrate and nurture Appalachian women while working toward a future where all females are safe and equally respected. \n\nSomething for Everyone\n\nOver the course of the weekend\, attendees can expect a thoughtfully curated experience that goes well beyond live performances.
