DESCRIPTION:A holiday favorite is coming to life on stage in downtown Pikeville as The Appalachian Center for the Arts presents Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical this December. \nPresented in partnership with Pike Central High School\, this special production brings together local students\, community actors\, and musicians to celebrate the spirit of the season both onstage and off. It is a community collaboration designed to share a beloved Christmas story with audiences of all ages. \nBased on the iconic animated film and classic children’s book\, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical features a book and lyrics by Timothy Mason and music by Mel Marvin. The story follows the grouchy Grinch\, whose heart is “two sizes too small\,” as he hatches a plan to steal Christmas from the cheerful Whos of Whoville. But as the story unfolds\, he discovers that the true meaning of the holiday cannot be wrapped up\, taken away\, or stolen. \nPerformances are scheduled for: \nFriday\, December 4\, 2026\n7:30 PM \nSaturday\, December 5\, 2026\n7:30 PM \nSunday\, December 6\, 2026\n3:00 PM \nFriday\, December 11\, 2026\n7:30 PM \nSaturday\, December 12\, 2026\n7:30 PM \nSunday\, December 13\, 2026\n3:00 PM \nTickets are $22 for adults\, $15 for seniors ages 65 and older\, and $12 for students under 18\, plus a $2.50 processing fee per ticket.
