National Public Lands Day @ Breaks

Breaks ParkBreaks Park will observe National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on Saturday, September 28.
On this day throughout the United States, volunteers work to improve and restore the lands and facilities the public uses for recreation, education, exercise and connecting with nature.

More than 170,000 volunteers are expected at more than 2,100 sites across the country on Saturday; it is the largest single-day volunteer effort for public lands in the United States.

“The spirit of volunteerism and cooperation on behalf of citizens from Kentucky and Virginia is what led to the establishment of the Breaks Interstate Park, and this attitude continues to contribute to its current success,” said Superintendent Austin Bradley.
