Hillbilly Days 2026 will close out with a true Southern rock institution as The Marshall Tucker Band brings its While I’m Young Tour to the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Saturday, April 18 at 7:00 PM.
For more than five decades, The Marshall Tucker Band has delivered a signature blend of blues, country, rock, and jazz that helped shape the Southern rock movement of the 1970s. Formed in 1972 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the band quickly rose to national prominence with hits like “Can’t You See,” “Fire on the Mountain,” and “Heard It in a Love Song.” Their sound remains instantly recognizable and deeply rooted in American music tradition.
Original lead vocalist Doug Gray continues to front the band, preserving its unmistakable spirit while leading a seasoned lineup that includes Marcus James Henderson (keyboards, saxophone, flute), Chris Hicks and Rick Willis (guitars), Ryan Ware (bass), and Leroy Wilson (drums). Together, they continue to tour nationwide, bringing timeless classics and fan favorites to audiences across generations.
