A beloved Labor Day weekend tradition returns to the mountains as the 76th Annual Tri-State Gospel Singing takes place Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7, 2026, at Breaks Interstate Park in Pike County, Kentucky/Haysi Virginia (627 Commission Circle, Breaks, VA 24607).

For more than three-quarters of a century, the Tri-State Gospel Singing has brought together gospel performers, families, churches, and friends from across Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, and beyond. This year’s three-day celebration will once again feature a packed lineup of gospel music, preaching, fellowship, and worship amid the beautiful mountain scenery of Breaks Interstate Park.

Located just across the Kentucky-Virginia state line from Pike County, the Breaks provides a fitting backdrop for this longstanding Appalachian tradition. Visitors can enjoy a weekend of music while also exploring one of the region’s most spectacular outdoor destinations.

Saturday, September 5

The weekend begins Saturday morning with preaching by Mark Jackson, followed by fellowship and a full day of gospel performances.

The Tri-State Gospel Singing is a great reason to spend Labor Day weekend exploring the Breaks Interstate Park and Pike County region. Known as the “Grand Canyon of the South,” the Breaks offers dramatic overlooks, hiking trails, outdoor recreation, and some of the most impressive scenery in the Appalachian Mountains.
