Celebrate the people and beauty of Appalachia during the opening of “Appalachian Beautiful,” an exhibition by Malcolm J. Wilson, at the Appalachian Center for the Arts in downtown Pikeville, Kentucky.

This year’s exhibition is bigger than ever, featuring more participants and more photographs highlighting the character, personality, and beauty of Appalachian women. Nearly 80 women participated in the project, making this a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the people who help make our region so special.

The gallery reception and opening will be held Saturday, September 26, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Appalachian Center for the Arts.

Best of all, the event is FREE and open to the public. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors and come out to support the nearly 80 women who took part in Appalachian Beautiful.
