The overlook offers a commanding view of the Pikeville Cut-Through, a feat of human engineering that required removing an entire mountain to alleviate flooding and open up further development for the city. As you gaze out from this vantage point, you’ll be surrounded by the warm, autumnal shades of the Appalachian mountains, and you will be treated to a bird’s eye view of the amazing work that was accomplished. It’s an excellent spot to appreciate the changing leaves without straying too far from town, as it is a very short drive to our top hotels, as well as plenty of downtown shopping and dining options.
