Hillbilly Days 2026 returns to Downtown Pikeville on April 16, 17, and 18, bringing three days of mountain tradition, festival fun, and free live music to the heart of the city. As one of Kentucky’s most beloved festivals, Hillbilly Days is known for its food, crafts, carnival rides, and family-friendly atmosphere, but the music is always one of the biggest highlights. This year, festivalgoers can enjoy performances across multiple stages throughout downtown, with sounds ranging from bluegrass and country to rock and regional favorites.
One of the main spots for festival music will be the Pike County Courthouse Stage, where visitors can catch a packed lineup over all three days. Thursday’s schedule includes performances by The Kevin Prater Band, Arlene Estep, Mia Lequire, UPIKE Rock Band, Levisa, Zoe Howard, Justin Ratcliff, Waylon Nelson, Jerry King & Friends, and Donovan Blevins & the Hillbilly Drive Band. On Friday, the stage keeps the energy going with The Kevin Prater Band, Arlene Estep, UPIKE Bluegrass Band, Malcolm and Keith, Corbin Bentley, Coaltown Dixie, Erin-Grace Rudd, Jerry King & Friends, Zoe Howard, and Donovan Blevins & the Hillbilly Drive Band. Saturday features Old Fashioned Stump Speaking, The Kevin Prater Band, Catrina Vargo, The Timmy Cline Band, The Rural Queens, UPIKE Bluegrass Band, and The Kevin Prater Band & Friends.

Another great place to catch live music during the festival will be the Arena Plaza MTM Stage. This stage features a strong mix of acts that will help keep downtown Pikeville rocking throughout the weekend. Thursday’s lineup includes Hassel Bryant, Brady Robinson & The Coal Rush Band, Donaven Blevins & The Hillbilly Drive Band, Thomas Jude Band, Donovan Howard & The Hombres, The Last Stand, and The Hall Brothers Band. On Friday, music fans can enjoy performances from Ivy Damron, Coaltown Dixie, Downtrend, Wildfire, Anderson Road, Kristofer Lee Bartley & The Protectors, and Bek & The Starlight Revue. On Saturday, the Arena Plaza MTM Stage continues with Bill Dotson, Vanessa Slone, Rob McNurlin & His Beatnik Cowboys, and Mia Lequire.

Festivalgoers will also want to keep an eye on the Kentucky Power Main Stage in the park area, which helps round out the musical atmosphere of Hillbilly Days in Downtown Pikeville. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled there on Thursday at 5:00 PM, helping kick off a weekend full of entertainment, community spirit, and Appalachian celebration.
While this post is highlighting three of the four free live music stage experiences featured during Hillbilly Days 2026, visitors should also remember that the Pikeville City Park stage offers a hot mic setup where performers can show up and take part. That makes Hillbilly Days even more fun for those who enjoy discovering local talent in a more casual setting.

Of course, one of the biggest musical events of the entire festival weekend will be the ticketed headliner show featuring The Marshall Tucker Band on Saturday, April 18, at Appalachian Wireless Arena. This special concert adds even more excitement to an already unforgettable weekend in Pikeville.
