America’s most infamous feud between the Hatfields and the McCoys involved stories of betrayal, violence, forbidden love, retribution and unforgiveness. Many believe that the bad blood that grew between these two families stemmed from the Civil War, a conflict that pitted brother against brother during one of America’s darkest eras.
Since the signing of the official peace treaty between Reo Hatfield and Ron and Bo McCoy, both families have tirelessly worked to undo the violence image brought forth by the feud, becoming advocates for peace, communication and reconciliation. Visitors are welcome to attend Hatfield McCoy Heritage Days, which is held each year on Labor Day Weekend in Pikeville, Pike County KY! Meet some of the descendants of the families, enjoy arts, crafts, multiple stages with live entertainment, drag-racing, BBQ and so much more!Plan your trip as soon as possible, and celebrate peace with the Hatfields & McCoys!
