The story of the Hatfield and McCoy Feud, which took place in Pike County, Kentucky and across the Tug River into West Virginia, is about to be revisited with the upcoming miniseries “Hatfields & McCoys”, staring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton. The miniseries will explore the story of Randolph McCoy and Anderson “Devil Anse” Hatfield, depicting how disagreements between both of their families snowballed into a violent feud that claimed the lives of many on both sides. The History Channel and their affiliates are also producing other Hatfield and McCoy related programming, such as a special Hatfield McCoy Feud themed “The American Pickers” episode and a documentary on the Hatfield McCoy Feud.
