MercyMe

The East Kentucky Expo Center, East Kentucky Broadcasting and the Appalachian News-Express are proud to announce the 2014 Celebration of Hope Community Concert Event! This special Christmas experience will feature 8-time Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee MercyMe for a one time performance, December 13, 2014 at 7 PM. Tickets start as low as $ 20 and will be available Thursday, November 13th at the Appalachian Wireless Box Office, www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

The celebration will also incorporate a “Charity Challenge” sponsored by the Expo Center, a Food Drive sponsored by First Christian Church to benefit the areas’ needy at Christmas and a Toy Drive sponsored by the Pike County Shriners to benefit the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Other activities will include rides for kids on the Shriner Christmas Train, visits with Santa, local caroling, hot cider and much more.

The mission of this first-of-its-kind event is to embrace home, and unite the community in a common goal through music, and a seasonal celebration of religious, social and philanthropic spirituality. Here’s how it works and how you may participate:

The East Kentucky Expo Center will donate $1.00 for each ticket sold to a local nonprofit charity to be chosen by the church, civic organization or group that sells the most tickets. In order to take part in this charitable community challenge, or to nominate your favorite charity as a possible recipient of the donation please contact [email protected] to set up a special code for tracking your sales. Due to the nature of this event entrees are limited and must be on a first come, first serve basis. In addition all applications should be received by Thursday, November 13th.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to support the Celebration of Hope Event, and partner with the East Kentucky Expo Center and MercyMe to make a difference in our community.
