Breaks Interstate Park will again host a Pickin’ Night for musicians and those who enjoy music on Tuesday, August 21 at 7 pm. The event is planned for the third Tuesday of each month, and is organized by Breaks Park Naturalist Jayd Raines. Raines has deep roots in bluegrass, having played with such greats as Marty Raybon, Ralph Stanley II, and Don Rigsby. Anyone interested in playing or listening is welcome to attend the event, which will be held inside the park at the Rhododendron Lodge.

Breaks Interstate Park is located on the Kentucky – Virginia border and is accessed by State Route 80. Commissioned by the U.S. Congress in 1954, it encompasses more than 4,600 acres and is one of only two interstate parks in the United States.
