Lynyrd Skynyrd Last Of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour (Cancelled)

Lynyrd Skynyrd will be bringing their Last Of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour has been cancelled for the Appalachian Wireless Arena of Pikeville, Kentucky.

Message from Lynyrd Skynyrd Management

Dear Skynyrd Nation,

It is with heavy hearts that we will not be able to move forward with the arena shows listed below. Ticketmaster and Live Nation will be automatically processing full refunds for ticket purchases to those shows. It was decided after much discussion that this was the best decision for everyone, based on the information we have today. There are too many unknown factors and questions to be able to move forward at this point. The band also has high risk members, so the safety of the fans, band and crew are a priority. In addition, with the current economic struggles (30 million unemployed) we felt it was prudent to get the ticket refund money into the fan’s hands, that may need that ticket refund revenue, now.

This is a difficult decision but one we felt is the best for everyone involved at this moment in time. Hopefully we will see you in 2021 and make up the performances and bring the music to the fans.

As always we appreciate your support and hope your families are safe.

(Sept 10 Pikeville, KY is listed).

About the Show

In 2018 Southern Rock icons, Lynyrd Skynyrd, announced that, after a career that has spanned more than 40 years and includes a catalog of more than 60 albums with more than 30 million units sold, they would embark on their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour. Produced by LiveNation, the career-concluding farewell tour has logged over 100 stops in the U.S. and internationally over the last two years with Scotland’s The Herald calling the band, “still free as a bird, forty years later.” “We’ve said we want to play every venue and market we’ve ever visited around the world one last time and even some places we haven’t, so we get to see all of Skynyrd Nation,” said the band’s lead singer Johnny Van Zant. “we are getting close!” True to their word and faithful to their loyal fans, the Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour continues in 2020 with tickets for U.S. dates going on sale to the general public beginning this Friday, Dec. 6 at 10:00 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Citi is the official presale credit card for the tour. As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10:00 a.m. local time until Thursday, Dec. 5 at 10:00 p.m. local time through Citi’s Private Pass program. For complete presale details visit www.citiprivatepass.com. The farewell tour will continue to take the band across the country and around the globe in 2020 giving fans one last unforgettable night of classic American Rock-and-Roll. The tour will make a stop in Pikeville, Kentucky on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Appalachian Wireless Arena. The Southern Rockers will be joined by special guest Travis Tritt. The tour derives its name from their song, “The Last of the Street Survivors” and the band’s fifth studio album Street Survivors that is certified multi-Platinum by the RIAA and includes the Platinum-certified single, “What’s Your Name.” International dates will be announced soon. The Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour marks a big moment for generations of fans, as Lynyrd Skynyrd has been touring consistently since the 90s. The band, that USA Today called the “whiskey-soaked genre’s most popular and influential crew,” is ready to rock one last time. The farewell tour will take original member Rossington joined by Van Zant, Medlocke, Mark “Sparky” Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Dale Krantz Rossington, Carol Chase and special guest Jim Horn across the country over the next year. The legendary rockers are best known for the RIAA Platinum-certified “Sweet Home Alabama” and self-proclaimed signature song, “Free Bird,” that Rolling Stone said was “easily the most requested live song in existence.” With everlasting hits such as “Simple Man,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “What’s Your Name,” “Call Me The Breeze,” “You Got that Right,” and more, it is easy to see why Rolling Stone named Lynyrd Skynyrd one of its 100 Greatest Bands of All Time. Toby Keith

The familiar maxim of the triple threat – singer, songwriter, and musician – doesn’t begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. And Keith’s most recent months are a remarkably accurate representation of his entire career. In October 2019, he released Toby Keith Greatest Hits: The Show Dog Years, a collection of his songs that features more than a dozen tracks with four newly recorded songs including “That’s Country Bro” and “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” which was inspired by a conversation he had with Clint Eastwood and was later featured in Eastwood’s movie, “The Mule.” The album also includes country’s most impactful viral event, “Red Solo Cup,” the video for which has received more than 53 million views and was named ACM Video of the Year. Rounding out his music-related accomplishments is his Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic fundraising event. Celebrating its sweet 16th year in 2019, that annual two-day bash has brought in a total of $13.7 million to support the charitable endeavors of The Toby Keith Foundation which includes aiding sick children and their families in Oklahoma.

From the moment he released his debut, hit single “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” the engine driving everything has been the music. He writes it. He arranges and produces it. And he releases it on his own record label, Show Dog Nashville. At the core is his songwriting, as recognized in his 2015 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City. That year Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead, Willie Dixon, and other songwriters from all genres of music were also included in his induction class. The Nashville Songwriters Association International named him Songwriter/Artist of the Decade and he is a three-time BMI Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year. His songs have received more than 95 million BMI performances on commercial radio stations worldwide, making him the organization’s top country songwriter in terrestrial country radio. Keith’s albums have sold more than 40 million copies. His tours have drawn more than a million fans each year for more than a decade straight, with expansions into Europe and Australia. The awards are too numerous to count and include Artist of the Decade nods from Billboard and the American Country Awards, as well as the ACM’s Career Achievement honor, Poet’s Award recipient, and twice their Entertainer of the Year award winner in back-to-back years. Toby’s most rewarding experiences, however, have come from giving back locally, nationally and abroad. In addition to his effort and support with The Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral, his 11 USO Tours to date have enhanced the lives of nearly 256,000 troops and military families in 18 countries with more than 285 events, and have been recognized with the Spirit of the USO Award (2014).

Colt Ford

By 2019, Colt built a series of staggering successes as he rose to mainstream notoriety. He notched five consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart with Declaration of Independence bowing at #1 in 2012. Two years later, Thanks for Listening ascended to the Top 10 of the Top 200, with the album reaching #1 on Billboard Rap & Independent charts. Meanwhile, he lobbed six songs onto the Hot Country Songs Chart with “Back” [feat. Jake Owen] going Top 40. Among many accolades, Ford received a nomination in the category of “Vocal Event of the Year” at the Academy of Country Music Awards for “Cold Beer” with Jamey Johnson.

Selling over 3 million albums, attracting millions of followers on social media and hitting 1 billion-plus streams, the country rap pioneer’s dynamic discography spans collaborations with everyone from Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and Jermaine Dupri to members of No Doubt, Lit, and Lady Antebellum. Additionally, he co-wrote Jason Aldean’s #1 hit “Dirt Road Anthem” and Brantley Gilbert’s #1 hit “Country Must Be Country Wide” as a behind-the-scenes force in the studio. Moreover, Ford’s solo tradition of genre blurring continued on Love Hope Faith in 2017 by way of cuts such as “Reload” [feat. Taylor Ray Holbrook].

Waterloo Revival

In June of 2016 WATERLOO REVIVAL signed to Toby Keith’s record label, Show Dog Nashville, and joined him on the “Toby Keith Interstates & Tailgates Tour sponsored by Ford F-Series” where they continued to push their music out to the world, developing a dedicated fan base along the way. They have continued touring and supporting their single, “What Guy Wouldn’t.” With more than 26 million streams of the song to date, WATERLOO REVIVAL continues their forward momentum with the release of new songs on the horizon.
