For almost 5 decades, Pikeville Hillbilly Days has been a beloved tradition in the heart of Eastern Kentucky, bringing together locals and visitors from all around the world into Downtown Pikeville for one thing, to support the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, and to have fun doing it. I guess that’s two things, but nevertheless, this annual festival features everything from live music performances and food vendors to crafts peddlers, special attractions and so much more. Let’s not forget the carnival as well, which begins on Wednesday evening, April 17.
What to Expect in 2024
So what are you to expect for this year’s Hillbilly Days event? Expect to see your favorite Hillbilly Days traditions alongside exciting new additions that promise to make this year’s festival truly unforgettable. First off, the headliner for this year’s Hillbilly Days is Struggle Jennings at the Appalachian Wireless Arena, featuring Lake View. Tickets are on sale for this show, which will be held on Saturday, April 20, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
A hit at last year’s event, the Micro Wrestling Federation is also returning this year to the Appalachian Wireless Arena, on Friday, April 19th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for this show are also on sale, which can be purchased online here. Micro Wrestling Federation’s wrestlers are featured on Discovery Channel’s Big Little Brawlers; this is your opportunity to see them in action live!
