We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Holler Critters Set 2, featuring a new collection of whimsical and intriguing Appalachian critters that are now available for pre-order. This set builds on the charm and creativity of the original, introducing even more critters, special inserts, and card types.
Meet the New Critters
In Set 2, we’ve added some unforgettable characters, each with their own unique story and personality. Here are just a few:
- Devil-Beard Hatfield: This critter is as tough as they come, with a beard that could scare away even the bravest souls.
- Grudge-Stache McCoy: Watch out for that mustache! Grudge-Stache carries the legacy of feuds past with style and grit.
- Mountain Grrl Experience Performers: Celebrating the vibrant spirit of the Mountain Grrl Experience performers, this collection of critters captures the essence of the performers who bring music and magic to the mountains. This set will become available June 20, the first day of The Mountain Grrl Experience festival in Downtown Pikeville, Kentucky (June 20-22, 2024).
New Card Types: Thingamajigs and Whotnots
We’ve also expanded the variety of cards with the introduction of two new types:
- Thingamajigs: These cards feature quirky and useful items that every critter needs. From enchanted trinkets to mysterious gadgets, Thingamajigs add an extra layer of fun to your collection.
- Whotnots: Whatnots are used by the player for a one-off ability that gives them a solid advantage. This set features the Critter Carrier Whatnot.
Special Inserts
Set 2 includes some truly special inserts that are sure to become fan favorites:
- Yoakabilly: This card represents the legendary Pike County artist Dwight Yoakam, and is the first of a series of cards that will honor country music stars from along US23.
- Full Art Card for Coaltown Dixie: Featuring stunning artwork, this card is a tribute to Coaltown Dixie, an all-ladies bluegrass group that has dedicated themselves to entertainment and education within the Appalachian mountains and beyond.
Honoring a Beloved Companion
In a heartfelt tribute, we’ve included a special card honoring Abby the Spoonlady’s dog Wilson, who recently passed away. Wilson was more than just a pet; he was a beloved companion and part of the Spoonlady’s story. This card commemorates his life and the joy he brought to so many.
Holler Critters Set 1 Also Available
We have also placed a reorder for a limited number of Holler Critter Set 1 cards. So if you missed out on the first run, be sure to nab your packs here before they are gone. Set 1 features critters such as Bolognaboo, Pawpaw Claw, Jarsnipe and so many more. Don’t miss it, we are not sure if these will ever be printed again!
