Professional wrestling comes home to Pike County on January 9, 2027, as Kentucky Championship Wrestling kicks off its new season at Valley Elementary School.
Kentucky Championship Wrestling (KCW) is bringing high-energy, family-friendly professional wrestling back to Pike County, Kentucky, with the 1st Annual Coal Country Rumble, scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2027, at Valley Elementary School.
The event marks a homecoming for the wrestling promotion, which got its start in Pike County in 2025. Featuring larger-than-life personalities, exciting matches, and old-school professional wrestling action, the Coal Country Rumble promises an entertaining evening for wrestling fans of all ages.
A Homecoming for Kentucky Championship Wrestling
Founded in Pike County, KCW held its first event in nearby Virgie on June 14, 2025. What began as a dream of bringing traditional, family-friendly professional wrestling to local communities has grown into an exciting regional promotion.
Now, KCW is returning to where it all began to celebrate the community that helped make it possible.
“Everything we’ve built started right here in Pike County,” said Jonathan Hampton, KCW Owner and Promoter. “This community believed in us from the beginning. These are the families who filled the seats, cheered with us, and helped make that dream possible. On January 9, we’re coming home to celebrate with the people who started it all.”
Fans can look forward to the hard-hitting action, colorful characters, and thrilling entertainment that have become hallmarks of KCW events. Participating wrestlers and featured matches will be announced as the event approaches.
