The 40 Mile Yard Sale will return June 11, 12, and 13, 2026, bringing three days of roadside shopping, community setups, and bargain hunting through several Eastern Kentucky communities.
The route begins in Jenkins on KY 805, then continues along Route 610 from Dorton to Virgie and Route 122 from Virgie to Shelbiana. Along the way, shoppers can expect a mix of yard sales, antiques, collectibles, household items, tools, clothing, furniture, and other unexpected finds.
Last year’s event brought hundreds of shoppers through the area, making it one of the region’s more anticipated summer yard sale events. For residents along the route, it is also a strong opportunity to set up, sell items, and take part in a weekend that brings extra traffic into local communities.

Those who live along the route are encouraged to plan a yard sale during the event. Whether it is a small porch sale, a driveway setup, or a larger roadside display, every participating household helps make the route more active and inviting for visitors.
Vendors and sellers who are not located directly along the route may still be able to participate. Anyone needing a setup location can contact Rob Elkins of Antiques by the Creek for details.
