Tips for Your Treasure-Hunting Trip

Bring some cash along for the ride. Many larger vendor malls accept credit and debit cards, but individual vendors and smaller flea-market booths may prefer cash.

Measure your vehicle’s available cargo space before leaving home, especially if you are shopping for furniture or larger decorative pieces. A tape measure, blankets and tie-down straps can also be helpful.

Most importantly, take your time and talk with the shop owners and vendors. Many pieces have stories connected to the families, communities and traditions of Eastern Kentucky.

Happy picking, and welcome to Southeast Kentucky!
